The Via Christi Family Medicine Program strives to meet the challenges of the changing health care environment through a non-competing community-based program serviced only by our Family Medicine residents. The program serves metropolitan Wichita and rural Kansas (a population of about 500,000).
Our residents are treated as competent physicians from day one, and are given the freedom and responsibility to care for their patients at their comfort level from admission to discharge.
We will prepare you for the type of practice that you desire in Family Medicine. You choose your interests and the scope of your future practice as a resident in Family Medicine, rather than your training program limiting your ability to practice because of a residency experience or opportunity that was less than desired or promised.
